Patrol

The Long Beach Police Department’s Patrol Division is responsible for patrolling and responding to calls for service in the 10 square miles that make up the City of Long Beach.

All of our officers are Mississippi State Certified after completing 480 hours of training. In addition to state certification, all officers are required to complete additional annual training to maintain their certification.

The Long Beach Police Department model is one of community policing. The men and women serving in the Patrol Division are the face of the department for the residents in our city. While on duty, all of our patrol officers are in full uniform and are in marked police vehicles making them highly visible within the community.
